"Italo-Moresque" family

Typical of the period between 1450 and 1480.

Majolica decorative group which recalls examples of "Hispano-Moresque" ceramics. Italo-Moresque makes use of exclusively cold colours and Islam-influenced arabesque motifs. Typical colours include a yellowish green, which gives the effect of the golden metallic lustre typical of the surface of Spanish pieces.

The most characteristic examples include a plate with , in the centre, the profile of a young man  with a tall turban and a plate with the figure of a woman  holding a necklace and three lilies in her hands.
